Noosa’s Koala Policy

koalaNoosa’s Koala Policy – have your say

Noosa Council is developing a Koala Policy, and it is calling for residents to assist by providing suggestions and information.

To provide valuable input and information about koalas, please send an email to mail@noosa.qld.gov.au(External link), send a letter to PO Box 91, Tewantin, 4565 or deliver your written submission to Council at 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin.

Council will also be working with koala conservation experts and has joined forces with the University of the Sunshine Coast to undertake trial research using a specially-trained koala-tracking dog to help locate local koala populations. Council is very interested to find out where residents have sighted koalas in the Noosa Shire and what ideas they have for koala conservation.
