Last week’s Cooroy Chamber of Commerce networking night as part of the Queensland Government’s Small Business Week was a huge success with over 100 business people attending in the newly renovated Cooroy Memorial Hall.
“We’ve had such wonderful feedback from participants, several saying it was the best networking night they’ve ever attended. Our networking nights bring business owners, community organisation representatives and Cooroy community leaders together to network, socialise and get the latest news. We felt this was a perfect fit with Small Business Week and thanks to the sponsorship of Cooroy Community Bank Branch it was a huge success,” said Chamber President, Danielle Taylor.
Queensland Small Business Week (QSBW) celebrates the vital contribution small business makes to Queensland’s vibrant economy. In keeping with this theme, an inspiring and uplifiting presentation by Cooroy Chamber of Commerce President Danielle Taylor, highlighted recent awards and accolades that had been received in town and reinforced that Cooroy is a great place to live and work.
The Cooroy networking night guest speakers included Geoff Edwards from Bendigo Bank and Jennifer Swaine from the Sunshine Coast Business Awards. The networking involved a structured “speed dating” format as well as informal networking during the break. Overall it was another successful event that proved Cooroy is a vibrant community.
