The Cooroy community rallied together last weekend for the Drought Fundraiser at Cooroy RSL. $2,899 was raised for Drought Angels on the night from raffles and food and drink promotions.
The Cooroy business community came together donating raffle prizes including Ionic H2O, Cooroy Pumps and Solar, Cooloola Berries, Zip Snip Mobile Hair Design by Julie, Beauty by Janice, Cooroy Menswear and Jeanery, Author Rita Lee Chapman, Cooroy Family Practice, Blue Brown Bag, Cooroy Camphor Laurel, Loretta’s N Stitches, Meat without Feet, Simply Japanese Bonsai and Cooroy RSL.
The team at the Cooroy RSL put on a great night, the room looked amazing decorated in a country theme and patrons and staff were dressed in their best farmer outfits.
Local band, Miss Leading hit the stage at 7pm and got toes tapping and a great night was had by all!
Earlier in the month, Cooroy RSL also donated $1000 and Cooroy RSL Sub-branch donated $500 to Drought Angels making it an impressive total raised for a very deserving and topical cause.
