The tree lights have been turned off and the decorations taken down which means that the next focus for the Cooroy community is the annual Cooroy Fusion Festival to be held on Saturday 9th May 2015.

From its humble beginnings in 2010, the Cooroy Fusion festival has grown rapidly in just a few years to become one of the highlights on Cooroy’s calendar. It is a free one day event which last year attracted close to 10,000 locals and visitors.

Originating as a celebration of the opening of our very impressive Library, the event now highlights the activities and achievements of both the Library and Butter Factory whilst showcasing the talent, expertise, creativity, innovation and products of the local area.

As with previous years, there promises to be a wide variety of entertainment that will appeal to all ages. There will be a number of the old favorites along with some novel ideas, not previously seen before. Details will be announced over the coming weeks so be sure to keep an eye on the Cooroy Rag for more news.

The Cooroy Fusion Festival certainly wouldn’t be possible without the support of its valued partners, the Noosa Council and the Bendigo Bank.

The Cooroy Fusion Festival also provides many opportunities for local businesses to get involved and the Fusion committee has come up with a number of options for both financial sponsorship, and sponsorship in kind. Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to contact for more details. Previous sponsors have all given it the thumbs up for the exposure that the Festival provides.

The Festival is also held in conjunction with the annual two day shows of both the Cooroora Woodworkers Club and the Noosa Orchid & Foliage Society so it really promises to be a big weekend in Cooroy. Be sure to mark it on your diary! Saturday 9th May!
