  1. Minutes of Last Meeting

Minutes of the last meeting on 14 June 2016

  1. Actions arising from the minutes:
  • “Why Leave Town” group are still in contact with Andy. Decided this is not a high priority
  • Marquee / Equipment Booking Form completed. Andy to organise a Saturday for a clean up of chamber items stored at David Campbell’s shed.
  • Letter to Council for more public toilets. Carol completed
  • Letter to Council re RV. We have had some positive feedback regarding RV stop. Danielle to send a letter that the opening of toilets would be beneficial to the success of the RV stop.
  1. Treasurer’s Report: Chamber is now registered for GST.

Cheque A/C $5,805.00     Term Deposit $31,397.00

Membership fee now needs GST included.

Attended:      Welcome to Noosa Training – Carol attended, found it great, would love to do something similar for Cooroy in future.

ABW awards Night – Carol, Danielle, Andy

ABW judging trade display – Danielle & Andy found the standard very high once again. A great program that the students really enjoy.

5.1  Carol still to write to QR regarding station toilets. Danielle suggested to write to Peter Wellington.

  • App & Website Performance Reports

Andy reported on stats on web, App and Facebook.  These stats are used in Business Plan and on our membership form.

  • 2016/17 Business Plan – Danielle to update Business plan after discussion. The business plan is an important document used in Grant applications
  • Dinner with the Mayor – booked and advertised – 14 tickets booked so far
  • Welcome to Cooroy Bags for RV Park. Danielle purchased 40 post cards of Cooroy to place in bags. The welcome packs will be given to RV’s that stay 3 or 4 days. The packs are very time consuming Chamber will now look at a coupon sheet that can be given to RVers
  • October Networking (School) – Andy to set date. December Christmas Party (Golf Club) – Carol to book Golf Club for first Tuesday in December ask about catering that golf club uses and source a caterer for nibbles/finger food.
  • Tania sent a story reported in Noosa News of a woman hit by a car on a Zebra crossing in Noosaville, this highlights the problem we have of zebra crossing in Maple Street.
