Welcome: Megan D’Elton from Noosa Care

The Executive welcomed Megan D’Elton to the meeting. Danielle proposed a motion that Tania Stewart position now be an executive and Meagan D’Elton also join as an executive and that we no longer have an Events executive position.

  1. Actions arising from the minutes:
  • Cooroy RV Park – Danielle has been in touch with Michelle from Noosa Council, Council are working on a brochure and new signage for Cooroy’s RV stop. Following another phone conversation with Doug Clayton (Cooroy Laundromat), Danielle advised him to contact Michelle at Noosa Council.  Cooroy RV stop now to have Kurui’s to hand out.
  • Chamber Newsletters are now sent out twice a month
  • Andy still to find out more re “why leave town” promotion

Attended:      Noosa Connects at the J – 16 March –  Danielle, Andy and Tracy Vecchio attended. A great event.

Letter from Hinterland Ministries thanking chamber re Christmas in Cooroy

Mail Out: Festive Season Grant for Christmas decorations – $7,000

Expression of Interest form to Stronger Communities Program re grant for radio

5.1          Carol proposed a motion to nominate Danielle for a community award due to the commitment and time Danielle puts in for the chamber and the Cooroy community. Seconded by Lynda Sandford. Andy to fill out the nomination form

  1. Other Business:
    • Network Night Review

A great night. Chamber have recieved lots of positive feed back by email and FB.  May look at another similar event in September. Well done all involved a great night

  • Chamber will put up their banners at Fusion as per their sponsorship.
  • Chamber to give permission to Fusion Committee to use their power in Apex park   for their advertising sign.
  • Chamber will lend their marquee to Friends of Botanical Gardens for use in September. The Friends of Gardens will have to erect marquee themselves or pay a hire company.
