Firstly, I appreciate everyone taking the time to submit your ideas regarding the value and future of the Hall.
Council officers have continued to work with community members who had expressed an interest in working with Council to secure the future of the Hall. This group has since incorporated as the Cooroy Memorial Hall Association and is developing a plan of action to potentially repair and refurbish the Hall in partnership with Council and then operate the Hall once it has been re-opened.
Council officers have prepared a report that summarises the results of the community consultation, discussions with the Cooroy Memorial Hall Association and an overview of possible future options for the restoration and management of the Hall.
The next step in the process is for the Cooroy Memorial Hall Association to complete their project plan to Council detailing how it proposes to repair the Hall and for Council staff to then present a report to Council for the future use and management of the Hall.
